Call for Graduate Students

We welcome motivated graduate students from all over the world to join our research lab. Please contact us at secretary@rii.med.tohoku.ac.jp, if you are interested in our research topics. The following is some useful information. Please read it before contacting us.

1.  Our lab offers a two-year Master’s program and three- or four-year Doctoral programs in the Graduate School of Medicine, as well as a two-year Master’s program and a three-year Doctoral program in the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering.
2. Entrance examinations are held twice a year, around August (Fall Examination) and February or March (Spring Examination). However, the Spring Examination is conducted only if there are available slots. For more information, please refer to the application guidelines of each graduate school.

3. Please send us your CV , a copy of your transcript with Grade Point Average (GPA). and a research plan or proposal you want to conduct in our lab.
4. We highly recommend applying for the Japanese Government (MEXT: Monbukagakusho) Scholarship through the Japanese embassy or consulate in your country.
5. In principle, we do NOT offer a Research Student program prior to passing the entrance examination.
